You see we don’t spread ourselves too thinly. We’re specialists in the food and drink manufacturing industry, and that’s the only one we work in. Our consultants work in vertical markets and are specialists in their sectors, so when you need to find staff, we’ll know what you want straight away, and where to find them too.

    Initial briefing

    Our first step is to get a clear understanding of the role and the type of person you're looking for. Then we'll put together a specification, complete with timelines, and get started.

    Client meeting

    We really want to get to know your business and understand the challenges you face. That's why we always try to visit our clients and experience what you do first hand.

    Talent search

    We advertise roles but often find the perfect person through recommendations, networking or the thousands of professionals stored on our industry leading candidate database.

    CVs for discussion

    With Zest you won't be bombarded with hundreds of CVs as we'll only send you those that are a close match in terms of skillset but also cultural alignment.

    Zest interviews

    We interview all candidates to get to know the person behind the CV and how they'd fit into your organisation. We also carry out really thorough background checks.

    Informal references

    We always try to get informal references for every candidate - it's a great way of understanding how they work. If you want formal references further down the line we can do that too.

    Final shortlist

    After we've interviewed all prospective candidates, we'll put together a shortlist and send you their CVs, along with our assessment of their skills and any comments from referees.

    Arrange client interviews

    Once you've had a chance to look at the CVs, just let us know who you'd like to interview and we'll arrange it all for you.

    Make an offer

    We'll manage this final phase for you but it should be a smooth and simple process as we'll have managed expectations along the way. Congratulations on your new member of staff!

    Post-placement review

    We're always looking for ways to improve what we do. That's why we welcome feedback throughout the process and especially after a successful placement.

    Strong knowledge of both brand retailer food manufacturing

    1st Class food related degree

    Knowledge of chilled and high care food products

  • Site Engineer (Electrical Bias)

    Experience in dairy, beverages and snack foods

    Qualified in both mechanical and electrical engineering

Zest Foundation

Life isn't always easy for young people. Many we meet have no direction, no goals and no support. We wanted to make a difference for these local 16-25 year olds, so we set up the Zest Foundation to give them new opportunities and hopefully, a renewed focus and energy for the future!
